Matt Shanahan
Mr Matt Shanahan, principal podiatrist at Blueprint Podiatry is a Central Coast local. He completed his education in his home state, receiving a Bachelor of Podiatry degree in 2010 from the University of Newcastle.
During his studies, he focused on High-Risk Diabetic foot care and Sports Medicine. He is confident in treating common toe and forefoot complaints to complex rear foot and ankle pathologies. His interests in podiatry include Sports medicine, Nail Surgery, and Paediatrics.
He is Registered by the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association, is a member of Sports Medicine Australia, and the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. When not in the Clinic, Matt has a passion for travelling and the outdoors. He enjoys baseball, golf, surfing, snowboarding, fishing and swimming.
Patients of all ages and new patients are welcome at Blueprint Podiatry. He enjoys treating all types of foot problems including:
heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, warts, diabetic foot care, sports injuries, and children's gait abnormalities.
He enjoys educating his patients about their foot problems and giving conservative and surgical treatment options. Matt believes that the better educated a patient is about their health the better their overall outcome and lifestyle will be.
